The Kuwait Osteoporosis Society was participating in the awareness day for the public, organized by the Sabah Alsalim Primary Care Center on April 18, 2018.
The event included several departments and non-profit organizations and from private sector. KOPS provided for the public medical consultations and application of the FRAX Fracture Risk Assessment Tool. Subjects who were found with high risk for fracture, and not diagnosed yet with osteoporosis, were referred to the radiology department of their designed public hospital to perform a DXA scan for further clarifying their risk for fractures. KOPS was delighted to be part of this event.
